Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos is the sequel to the popular and successful I-War (or Independence War here in the States). Rather than a linear mission-based sim like the original game, this second game is much more open and, in a rarity in the genre, focuses primarily on piracy. The game still has a detailed and punishing flight model, and at times punishing difficulty, similar to the original game.

Concept

Cal Johnston had his father murdered right in front of him, and then was accused of a crime he didn't commit. Over a decade later, Cal and his friends escape prison and find a new career as pirates.
