Hey y’all, happy Tuesday/Podcast Day! ;) Tonight, we’ll be talking to the developer of the fascinating-looking Skywanderers. I toyed with a very, very early alpha build we were sent over, and while it was gorgeous, I had no freaking idea what I was doing. Thankfully the dev sent over some videos we can use in the background, so yay, not everyone sees what an idiot I am! ;) The game seriously looks pretty impressive, based on the dev videos I’ve been watching, so I can’t wait to learn more tonight.
I got very little gaming in last night, just a few rounds of Streets of Rogue, which if you hadn’t figured out by now, I am just gaga over. Seriously, the variety of characters you can play, and the amount of ways you can deal with a situation, are just fantastic. My favorite, so far, is a doctor who can knock out anyone as long as they can get behind them, but can’t use weapons because they’re a doctor. It might be a bit overpowered so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was nerfed a bit, but so far I’m loving it. That and the gorilla. I also love to be able to hack my way into one building and gas my way into the next. So fun. On the upside, after dinner we watched a bunch of Stranger Things. Damn that’s a good show.
Not much in news today. The CIC has word that more ships have made their way to the Wing Commander mod for Homeworld Remastered. The big news today, though, is a massive new patch for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, which is also celebrating it’s five year release anniversary. The biggest deal is now the game can use more than 2GB of RAM, which will make it much better on newer systems. Starfighter Origins also got a fairly hefty new patch today.
Finally, in sales, Bundle Stars has what is the lowest price for Space Rangers HD I’ve ever seen at $1.99. It’s a limited time/key thing, so if you don’t yet own this amazing game, GET ON IT. I also forgot to mention that Distant Worlds: Universe is on sale on the Humble Store as part of their strategy week sale.
That’s it for this update y’all. See ya live on the Podcast in a few hours! Thanks for reading!
