Apparently ANOTHER new spacey game has been announced today (gotta love Games Press). This one, entitled Starlight Inception, is a first and third-person space shooter taking place 100 years from now after World War IV erupts. The game includes “combat both in space and on planets and moons, interplanetary exploration, and multiplayer dogfighting”. It’s also being put together by LucasArts alum Garry Gaber, who was project lead on Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns.
While the game looks cool, the kicker (hurr hurr) is that it’s also launched a Kickstarter campaign to get the funding to make the game happen. It certainly looks like a pretty cool game, so I know I’ll be kicking some money its way. Kickstarter’s kind of been a boon for space games, and it doesn’t need to stop now. :)
Hi – this is Melissa, VP of Escape Hatch Entertainment, the developer behind Starlight Inception. Thank you for posting about our game. We would love to hear from you and answer any questions.
Hi Melissa, thanks for visiting and commenting, and welcome to the site! :) I'm sure my readers will have questions about the game. :)
Is there an in-game video somewhere that we could take a look at? Plus, are you going for an arcade physics approach, a more accurate Newtonian environment with no drag or something in between?
Some more info on the game itself except for the story? :)
I'll be writing up some Q&A questions for 'em today, and I'll make sure yours are addressed. :)
