So as you can see by my coming soon list on the sidebar, I’ve got a lot of recent games on my plate to look at, some from several months ago. I just noted this to myself as I finished reading the Distant Worlds – Legends manual today (great manual, BTW!). I got this game to review back in…November-ish, I wanna say. And yet here we are, middle of February, and I’m just getting to it. In a way, I feel bad about that.
Yet, in another way, I don’t feel bad about it. This blog is a very fun time, and I want it to remain fun forever, if possible. However, if I try to put too much time into it…it’ll become less like fun and more like work, and I want to avoid that. One has to live and enjoy life and all of its beauties and treasures, and I’m happy to say I have a very full life, filled with love, friends, and wonderful, wonderful games.
My point is that I always try to find a balance between having fun with this blog and having fun elsewhere. I love, love, love this blog, but I also enjoy watching TV with my girlfriend, discovering new (to me) movies like How to Train your Dragon, or playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on my PS3. Finding that balance isn’t always easy, but I think that, if I keep at it, I’ll have fun with this blog for a long, long time, and isn’t that the ultimate goal?
So this message is both an apology and an explanation as to why there’s typically a gap between my articles…it’s called life. ;) I’m not sure why I felt compelled to write it but I hope that, if you’re patient with me, you’ll be in for many years of further articles that show my love and enthusiasm for games with spaceships in ’em.
Now, with that in mind, since I have actually finished reading the detailed manual for Distant Worlds – Legends, I’m gonna start playing it tonight, so stay tuned. It’ll be a little while until I’m caught up on current or recent space games before I return to the games on my list, but I hope it’ll all be as enjoyable a ride for you as it has been for me. Thanks, as always, for visiting and reading, and have a wonderful day. :)
Don't feel pressured to get your posts out there. A review a week is a big task and we wouldn't want you to get burnt out. :) Love reading your stuff and I don't mind if it is a week or two between.
Thanks man, I don't wanna get burnt out either. :) Appreciate it. :)
