I Might’ve Jumped the Gun on Pandora: First Contact

Sorry About That, Folks!

So y’all remember yesterday that I posted a story about a just-announced 4X entitled Pandora: First Contact, after reading about it on Space Sector? Well…it looks like now it’s going to be a planetary-based 4X in the same vein as Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri. This is in no way a bad thing, as Alpha Centauri is still one of the best games of its type. The problem? Not sure if there will be spaceships in it, which kind of makes it ineligible for coverage here, based on my rules, specifically:

  • For a game to be considered, it has to have a major component that focuses on a spaceship of some sort. This includes interaction, command and control.

So yeah, I might’ve jumped the gun on this one, which is bound to happen in this sort of situation. For that, I apologize. If you want more coverage of this game — as well as other types of games I don’t cover such as mobile games and so on — head over to Space Sector or Space Sim Central. They’re much more broad in their focus than I am. ;) Thanks for reading guys, and I’m sorry about the flubup. :)
