I don’t know how I missed this, but thanks to a random retweet I saw from the FTL Twitter, I’ve found out that you can pre-order the soundtrack from composer Ben Prunty for $5, which I am totally doing right after I write this, and you should too. If you’ve not played FTL yet, just know it’s gonna be awesome, and the soundtrack will be out the same day as te game, 9/14. Enjoy! :)

Sadly, we who backed its kickstarter at the soundtrack level probably have to wait for the soundtrack to appear on Steam. :/
Huh? Why is that?
Just guessing as the soundtrack will be available through Steam (if i remember correctly), and steam codes are easy to distribute, while I don’t know if you can through bandcamp…
…
Oh wait, the soundtrack page says pre-order… So you can’t get it immediately there either… We’ll probably get it simultaneously then! (I thought you could get it immediatly there)
I’d think your Steam copy would include a copy of the soundtrack as another folder in the game directory, just like Steam does with other games.
Something like that, haven’t bought any special-editions on Steam before (apart from Natural Selection 2, but that’s not out yet), so you probably know better than me ;)
Oh yeah, when you get a game and its soundtrack, it’s another folder amongst the folders for the actual game, so it just downloads along with the game itself. Easy peasy. :)
